Love Me or Leave Me
November 13 on Gospel Music Channel
The television world premiere of the stage production Love Me or Leave Me debuts,on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. ET on the Gospel Music Channel (GMC) with encores that night at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Love Me or Leave Me is a musical stage play in the traditional order of a family friendly plot and laugh tracks. Cynthia Wyatt (Angela Evans) is a troubled teen who abandons her fraternal twin infants, leaving her own mother Annie Wyatt (Shirley Murdock) to raise the children. Now, 25 years later, one of the twins, Josephine Wyatt (Elise Neal), is an attorney who is engaged to the man of her dreams, Justin Daniels (Christian Keyes). Cynthia returns to the scene to reclaim her place in her children’s lives.
Will she be accepted? What made her leave in the first place?
The play also stars Clifton Powell, Carl Anthony Payne II, Terrell Carter and Terri J. Vaughn. “Love Me or Leave Meis a great fit for our network,” said Leslie Chesloff, executive vice president, programming. “It is a very engaging play with powerful music and drama that centers on family values and love. We are proud to bring it to our viewers.”
Love Me or Leave Me was written by John Ruffin, whose writing credits include: I Won't Go Back; It's Too Good To Be True; We're Dreaming of You, Selena; Love Me and Leave Me; The Other Woman; All for Love; No More Sheets; and Mr. Right Now or Mr. Wrong Later. Ruffin also directed and produced a bi-weekly variety show, Gospeltime, Live At The Legacy.

Cast members from the touring cast of the hit Broadway musical WEST SIDE STORY plus special guest stars Erich Bergen, Jai Rodriguez, Wesla Whitfield and Kalil Wilson will be joining together to present a one-time, one-night only benefit to raise funds for The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This exclusive "One Night Only Cabaret" event feature cast members from the touring cast performing song selections of their own choice to present an evening of upbeat, high-energy music, dance and comedy.
The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation has worked with over 33 touring casts to date to produce "One Night Only Cabaret" events. To date, REAF has distributed well over $2.5 million to AIDS service agencies.
Tickets for this "One Night Only Cabaret" range from $25 to $75.
